Tories claim too few jailed in Scotland

From The Scotsman, Anger as Tories claim too few jailed:

"A FURIOUS row broke out yesterday over statistics published by the Conservatives which they claim shows that too few people in Scotland are being sent to prison."

I don't think I've ever heard a UK political party asking for more English to be locked up. It seems unfair to be picking on the Scottish.

Zoroastrianism

Reading about the Cathars led me to read more about Zoroastrianism the root of all the desert religions.

It seems the old ideas are the best.

The Cathars

I'd heard the word Cathar but I didn't know any thing about their history until today.

" The Pope, Innocent III, called a formal crusade, appointing a series of leaders to head his holy army. There followed over forty years of war against the indigenous population. During this period some 500,000 Languedoc men women and children were massacred"

It really was the dark ages.

Today's Onion is mean to Bush

From today's Onion:

Bush To London Bombers: 'Bring It On'

WASHINGTON, DC—President Bush officially responded to the latest round of London transit bombings Monday, challenging terrorists to "do their worst." Said Bush, in a televised statement from the Oval Office: "The proud and resilient people of London can take anything the forces of evil and cowardice can throw at them. They will never live in fear of you. Bring it on." Prime Minister Tony Blair thanked Bush for his comments, inviting him to visit London and ride the Underground in a show of solidarity.

1000 Holiday Ideas

Can't think where to go on holiday? Here's 1000 suggestions.

European Country Test

I just tried a bit of education.

I got 40/45 with an average error of 21 miles. I tripped up on Moldova and got it very wrong which accounted for most of the 21 mile average error. The other 4 errors were near misses.

Non Sequitur's take on smoking in restaurants

"A no smoking section in a restaurant is like a no pissing section in a swimming pool".

Non Sequitur agrees.
